I don’t reach hardcore level yet I literally recommended someone trying out FreeDOS on an ITX-Llama. With how systemd is going I have begun trying to find a distro without it that also uses wayland, so I could see myself trying out Void or Devuan or something like that in a couple of years if it gets much worse.
All in all, I’m probably around “that weird guy” bordering “jaded outcast”Honestly, I think the biggest question with FreeDOS nowadays is whether you want to use FreeDOS or DOSBox-X. That’s been my situation for a while now, and I go back and forth.

Oh geez, I never realized how deep into the rabbit hole I go. But for me FreeDOS & ReactOS are just because… I was there when they were first relevant. I started with FreeDOS because of the DR-DOS scandal. I’ve never really gotten I2P to work. TempleOS is still ambitious. And I actually jumped on here because I got annoyed that I can’t use Lynx, only Links (I’m on Linux Mint).
I only touched Plan 9 From Bell Labs when I was in or around Lucent.
Tails USB should be in my go bag with a machine that has no HDD, XMPP/Jabber - don’t use it anymore because everybody left it for other things.
And yeah… from there up, I have pieces too.
