Victor Perez, 17, who also had cerebral palsy, had been in a coma since the April 5 shooting, and tests Friday showed that he had no brain activity, his aunt, Ana Vazquez, told The Associated Press. He had undergone several surgeries, with doctors removing nine bullets and amputating his leg.

The shooting outraged Perez’s family and Pocatello residents, and about 200 people attended a vigil Saturday morning outside the Pocatello hospital where he was treated. Another crowd of protesters gathered outside the Pocatello City Hall building, which also houses the police department, on Saturday afternoon. Police snipers were stationed on a nearby rooftop during the protest, though no violence was reported. Many of the protesters held signs with phrases like, “Do better, PPD” and “Justice for Victor,” and passing cars honked in acknowledgment.

Your friend chose to be a cop. He was not forced to become one.

He should choose his next job with care, doing the research he should have done before picking law enforcement.

It’s ‘ACAB’ because plenty of cops like your friend could be a perfectly honorable and righteous individual, but the policing system as it is deployed incentivizes the use of force and violence. They have developed a militant culture seperating them from ‘civilians’.

How many corrupt cops did your friend take down? If the answer is zero your friend is just as much of a bastard as the corrupt ones

I’m just saying I know a guy who cheated on his wife so that means you did too. That’s the logic here.

That’s terrible! There should be an investigation!

However, as a fellow internet commentator, I will stand in solidarity with my cheating brother no matter what. I support the creation of social structures that give him special privileges. Cheating should not be grounds for divorce, but only when it’s an internet commentator.

What he did was terrible. Don’t you dare treat him like the rest of the common rabble.
