I don’t even own an iron
Difference between WANTING to look good vs HAVING to look good.
Never-Iron Brigade checking in and reporting for… Not ironing!
Look, if wrinkled clothes are a turn off for her she’s going to be real upset once she sees how I live. Best filter em out early.
I’ve put myself into a position that I should never have to iron again.
I wish. But I don’t have a dryer. And I’m currently living in a dry climate with what I think may be an overly aggressive washing machine, plus hard water, which may all be responsible, to varying degrees, to extremely wrinkled everything.
I think they’re joking about being single and unemployed.
I last ironed in 2005. 🤞
I fully agree with this, it’s all about how you choose to look at things, with the right outlook most tasks can be enjoyed
Imagine how many hours could have been put to more productive use, if making clothes flat never became a thing.
That made me think certain fashion requirements are a prisoner’s dilemma. If nobody does it, we’re good. If one person does it, they gain an edge, incentivizing others to do it and bringing us to a suboptimal equilibrium.
They say to dress for the job you want, not the job you have, which is why I look unemployed.
Condolences, the bums lost!
ironing… clothes…?
Tell me you don’t know how most of the world lives without telling me you don’t know ;)
You think most of the world works white collar jobs and goes to church on Sunday? Jesus.
That says more about your very limited world experience than anything, proving my point. Go to a low or middle class neighborhood in Latin America, for example, and I guarantee people are ironing their t shirts and other clothes.
i was fired before for not having ironed clothes. not explicitly, but you know when you know
luckily in my country, they will not usually be that annoying about it because i’m already showing up for a job that could easily be done from home
If you think most of the world irons their clothes you’re living in a fantasy world.
I disagree but ok. If they don’t iron it themselves they get it ironed.
Not in Alberta or BC they don’t. Maybe in specific business class job situations and type a adamant church goers but even then it’s about 50/50
That’s not “most of the world.”
Ok explain what you mean here because Canada and the United States don’t do it and you keep saying “most of the world” as if this isn’t a significant chunk of the world.
What do I mean by most of the world? I mean… most of the world. There’s a lot more out there than the US and Canada lol. Just like most of the world doesn’t use AC.
Really not trying to argue about ironing clothes though. If you don’t do it because your shirts come out nice from the dryer or you don’t care about wearing very wrinkly stuff, and you can’t relate to the meme, that’s great.
The picture contradicts the claim, lol.
I’ve never once ironed a piece of clothing and it’s never mattered in my life.
LPT: instead of ironing, sleep on the shirt in the shower… Or something like that. I forget.
I have been meaning to order a steamer for long time. I iron so infrequently.
Iron clothes?! Lmao, just throw it in the dryer. You don’t need crazy lines.
Most countries outside the US don’t use dryers
Most countries inside the US don’t use irons.
Most dryers in the US don’t use iron
Most USs in the iron don’t use dryers
Moist Ron in the dry US sounds terse
Try Madam Selma’s Desire Dungeon. If you’re going to order a steamer, go to the best.
People iron clothes? They don’t have a hand steamer??? Mongrels, I tell yah.
I was always thinking that people want to work and k think it’s true. They just don’t want to do what nowadays is called “work”. Nobody wants to sit all day and do nothing just staring into a wall.
