    Here’s another source you’re turn, shop around a bit see if you can find anyone who publishes a number that agrees with you. Nobody agrees with your speculation.

    This is a uniquely American problem. Either ‘Americans are just soooo unbelievably violent and deadly that they must be put down like the rabid dogs they are’ or something else is going on. Please stop insinuating people like George Floyd are rabid dogs that need to be put down.

      How many "s"s are there in the word assassin?

      I’m not saying you are definitely a literal bot. I actually have never seen any indication that the weird accounts on Lemmy are literal bots, instead of bad-faith actors of some other description. But I’ve also never seen a human person make this type of mistake, where there’s one particular word that gets a bunch of emphasis (in this case “fixed”) but the person gets it backwards whether I said it was “fixed” or it wasn’t “fixed”. That is on the other hand the exact type of mistake that LLMs tend to make. It’s a weird little hole in their predictive-text-ness, that they pick up which symbols have a lot of emphasis but miss out on the semantic content of which is the meaning behind the emphasis that they have.

          For anyone reading this: Go back and read the thing about “fixed” versus not “fixed.” It’s super weird.

          Me: Pretty sure I explicitly said the exact opposite of that. My wording was, “I’m not saying the system is fixed. In particular that cop who broke the neck of an elderly Japanese man and then had his charges overridden by someone at the state level when the system attempted to charge him with a crime. That’s the one big example I can think of recently.”

            My dude, this conversation started because you thought it was necessary to come at a “I completely agree, here’s another interesting facet/perspective” comment where you don’t see the connection with hostility, conspiracy theories and willful ignorance.

            After getting repeatedly fact checked and refusing to engage with any of those points your only way to continue arguing your point is an insane ad Hominen that I’m a robot who easily passes the turing test.
