  • Some people can’t tell the difference between a search engine and a browser. Some people don’t know how to install software, and use whatever they got. Some people don’t know better.

Them losing access to a tool like uBlock Origin, with the only alternatives being weaker options, is harmful.

I know of people experiencing blockage because they use uBOL, uBO was more effective at bypassing those blocks I assume.

  • Posteo is a very legitimate email provider based in Germany. Your bank is really stupid for flagging and rejecting it, their is absolutely nothing about them that should trigger their systems.

An alternative would be Mailbox, it’s very similar to Posteo and I have made good experiences with it.

Why did you switch away from Proton? Most drama surrounding it is very overblown and the consequences of being a large company, not everyone always does everything right who works for them.

  • I’m tired of having to correct people, but I will do it anyway.

Disagree, it serves to illustrate the same kind of monopoly google has one push notifications.

This is wrong. If you look up the definition for monopoly, you will realize it is false. At worst, it’s a duopoly. If we exclude Huaweii Push, etc.

UnifiedPush is not a push service, it is a distributor. It is a proxy for push services, it does not send out its own notifications.

That is also wrong. Idk how you got the idea of it being a “proxy”.

“UnifiedPush is a decentralized push notification system that lets you choose the service you want to use. It’s designed to be privacy-friendly, flexible, and open — making it perfect if you want control over your push notifications.”
