  • Idk, I think some things have a lot of intent in them. Some old cartoons were absolutely made just to sell toys (although I guess that is intent - to sell). I think art can also just exist, and doesn’t need a message behind it. It can just be an expression of a vision turned into some sort of physical manifestation. I will argue that a lot of people are influenced heavily by the need for $$$ (rightfully so). Likewise, I think a lot of media is manipulative and can have a sort of vapid feeling regardless of if AI is involved or not. Maybe you just need to find some new things to fall in love with? Maybe you just wanna hang with your older stuff. It’s all good, just saying that it’s not as hopeless as it feels even if a lot of media is an absolute dumpster fire. To be honest, it kinda has been for a while (I can’t say always, but for sure I remember some absolute shit coming outta the 70s).

  • Ooo, hahaha! I gotcha! a) Thank you! I am black and white by nature, and I think at certain points we have to fight our nature and when it comes to interacting with other humans this for sure is something we can find compromise with. Also, having an opinion that never shifts of grows is pretty freakin’ rough. Oh, I just meant it was outta nowhere only on account of me just making a dumb joke =P! Thank you though =)

  • Set em, let em be known. Evaluate offenders: ignorance, disrespect, necessity? I think they can be “soft” which I guess is sort of against the idea. I think in life we need to be flexible though. I guess this is all to say - it’s good to know yourself and your needs. You are absolutely welcome to leave spaces that oppress you. Not all oppression spheres can be ignored, and instead must be handled. Not all boundary breakers are oppressive, sometimes things must be met regardless of feelings. Sometimes people break things because they forget (a simple example is dead-naming which I think can happen with people accidentally - it’s sort of an extreme example but it’s what came to mind). Sometimes you need to meet people half-way because that’s just life. You can find a way to honor other people’s boundaries while honoring your own. Thanks for asking, although it felt like it was sort of out of left field =P!

  • I am not sure if you even keep playing games like that but often it’s those ones that end up having to get returned. Which is such a bummer, because it so easily could be solved. Most times when you reach out to the company though (or devs, which ever) unless it’s a really small team they will typically ignore your requests. Any time I have had accessibility requests, without hesitation smaller teams have implemented them almost immediately. Likewise they’ve asked if there is anything else that I might need. I know we’re getting better at accommodating people, but there are still people who believe you can just “get gud” and work through these problems. When in actuality, they game-ending experiences. Which really sucks. Thanks for sharing by the by =)

  • While it is too late for me to be going down any rabbit hole of a video, I will say that playing yourself to any extend in a game is quite important. I mean, you can roleplay however you want, but I find it quite comfy if a game even has the components to represent me as I walk the plains of x-ville. I know more than a few people who were ecstatic to have their characters be trans in Cyberpunk. I know the more customization the more work, and I don’t expect indie developers to bring the noise. It’s nice though, when you get a chance to pick a character (for one) and have it look like you want it to look like (for two).
