  • While redundancy in a drive setup helps, it’s not really a backup and thus not a “safe” way to store important information on it’s own.

That said, selecting the way you setup a raid system is based on risk and utility. I have a raid1 with a hotspare for important files. And use raid5 with 3&4 drives for less important stuff. You can also optimise for reading speed for example (as the same file can be drawn from multiple drives)

  • These generations of wireless mouses are fine. The advantage, as small as it is, is less drag from the wire and not having to juggle with wires when working with a laptop. Given the batteries these days I’m fine with wireless.

Now I do not have the same view on wireless keyboards as these are pretty much stationary by default.

  • I’m not part of this community, and the trans aspect isn’t my focus. What matters is the principle: time is limited, so don’t wait for a “better time.” Improve what you can, speak up when needed, and tackle your issues—whether it’s relationships, career, or personal growth.

Test the waters and plan your steps, but keep moving forward. Don’t fixate on the end goal as your only source of happiness. Enjoy the journey, adapt as things change, and address what feels wrong or missing. Progress is about both the destination and the ride.
