3·20 days agoProbably not gonna get better for a few years, the cheapest options I found are PS5/PS4 external HDDs and regular external “rugged” HDDs - 1tb for around 100 euros and 2tb for 120-140

24.04 has kde 5.27, which is too old for features you’d want. I tried using neon ppas back in 2025 I think and it went awfully wrong. so it’s easier to use your own gnome extensions with gnome to make it usable enough as a desktop or switch the distro

4·3 months agoNo I don’t think so. The trick with “computer display will hurt your eyes” is it’s the same for practically everything. Books, TV, etc. If you use it at a close distance (less than 1.5-2 meters) to your eyes. The lighting is also a factor, if your room is dark and your screen is bright - it’s really harmful
