Ask Lemmygrad@lemmygrad.ml•What’s your opinion on separation of church and state?
0·17 days agoYou mean making anything state-related atheistic but maintaining the freedom to believe in a religion for the general person?

0·17 days agoYeah but i feel like repression wouldn’t work, we should just keep educating people and generation by generation faith will slowly stop being a thing

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you manage to study when you don’t want to?
1·18 days agoWell, that is also something i tried and that didn’t work either

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you manage to study when you don’t want to?
1·18 days agoIt’s not a school thing, everyone in the country does this bs, or at least those who decided to go to the “university oriented” types of high schools

3·18 days agoCoffee doesn’t help at all, I barely ever feel caffeine unless i drink like a red bull and a monster back to back. Mind you, i am not a daily consumer of caffeine and i never crave it, so… idk what to tell you

5·19 days agoNever thought about it, but after looking around… maybe? Idk, i guess i should get that figured out by some professional if that’s the case

4·19 days agoThanks, i’ll try that. Except for latin since we don’t study it as a language, but rather we learn grammar rules and that’s it, plus various writers and intellectuals from the roman era, which is annoying lol

1·27 days agoI get it, honestly i just find weird the fact that they’d include age verification in the first place, and aside from that i don’t like most things about systemd anyway like the large codebase and the incredible amount of extra services they offer

1·27 days agoThanks! I’m curious tho: what could there possibly be that introduces problems with using something like Gentoo as a server OS? The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that some software might not be available on portage or some software might be assuming systemd, but can’t that all be worked around by compiling manually or creating custom init scripts?

1·27 days agoThanks, my beef with systemd isn’t really about usability but i have problems with the philosophy and the age verification ground work. I could use it no problem, i just don’t want to

0·1 month agoThanks, i just got tired of people yelling “communist” at anyone who’s progressive in any way (probably a thing of the place i live in lol)

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•As a non communist, should i read the manifesto? (Plus other Marx and Engels stuff)
0·1 month agoOf course, but i feel that knowing the premise and where those countries took their ideals from would be ideal to have a better view

Thanks, this made me feel better :)
