What a sorry excuse of a human. Fuck that guy.

This should be obvious but people with nontraditional gender identities are not a monolith. No group is. Maybe take a step back and do some introspection about why you feel this strongly about sitting through one conversation where a character talks about their struggles from being part of a marginalized group. A conversation you can literally skip through.

There are plenty of examples of immature and brash teenagers struggling with parental expectations in video games. An easy example is Atreus in God of War. He is a little punk for the most part and Kratos interacts with him with barely suppressed exasperation. That game is widely loved.
Taash is nonbinary so their coming of age story will naturally have elements about their gender identity. There is really only one conversation where that identity is one of the main topics. Other personal conversations are about their complicated relationship with their mother, trying to fit in especially after being raised in a different culture, and dragons. Standard topics for a young adult learning to navigate the world.
TLDR: if you complain about Taash but don’t complain about other stories with teenage angst or think those other characters are well written but not this one you can’t relate to, it’s because you’re bigoted.

Who knew?!

It’s like they went straight for the most unintuitive option for MS Office users. Besides EuroOffice, LibreOffice (even OnlyOffice) would have been better.

Exactly. I can understand the push to discourage the general public from hosting their own emails but serving up emails on a custom domain (including self hosting) is not as difficult as it’s made out to be. It just takes some patience if the right DNS entries are in place.

I’ll give it a shot, thanks!

How did you integrate ollama with it? That sounds like an interesting setup.

They offer a genuinely good product and I think it’s important to support companies that sell a good product rather than their customers’ info.
I paid $5 for a couple of years but eventually stopped because I kept running out of searches after a few weeks. $10 a month for a search engine is excessive but 300 searches a month is too limiting.

We’re talking self hosting, not an enterprise setup. Industry best practices and layers of defense mitigation are not realistic expectations for something like a media server that is only intended to be accessed by the owner and maybe a couple other people.

Oh no! Anyway.
It’s true that a lot of research in the US until the last few decades focused on men. However, any research on the general population has been required to include women since around the 1990s if funded by the government.
There’s been a massive push to catch up on research topics related to women since then. Policies, regulations, and applications follow slowly after research but looking at sex differences is pretty much standard in human research now. Still a whole lot of catching up to do of course.
I work on NIH’s women’s research initiatives so I know a bit about this but it’s easy enough to confirm for yourself. Search PubMed for systematic reviews or meta-analyses from the last 15 or so years on basically any human or public health related topic and you’ll very likely see references to women or sex differences.

Llama.cpp running qwen 3.8 on a mini PC with 32GB ddr5 ram and 8GB vram. Not the most speedy but it works. I only really access it while at home but I’m also set up with tailscale.

Holy masterclass batman. I’m not sure Tommy realized just how much he got schooled in that moment.

This particular abomination/identity crisis seems to creep in when people are trying to sound sophisticated, and i just can’t with it.

I couldn’t agree more. There is a long list of valid reasons to hate on AI and the industry but AI = slop barely makes it onto the list anymore.

Dynamic dns is what you need. Only takes a few minutes to set up

Not to mention it was an issue kernel developers had spent 2 years trying to solve unsuccessfully.
Yeah it’s been in place for some time. For those increasingly rare moments when a search lands on reddit, uBlock’s annoyances filter still blocks the login popup.
