Disco Elysium made me feel a lot better about waking up.

At the start, you are trapped in a void, asleep, only able to communicate with your most basic unconscious functions.

Eventually you run out of dialog and realize you should probably wake up. You know, somehow, there will be great pain awaiting you, but also everything else that comes with it.

Eventually you choose to wake up, you choose to go back into the world because taking the pain with the pleasure is more interesting than staying in the void.

What will i find in this waking world? What will become of me? I gotta play to find out!

I’m not interested in trying to meet in the middle with people who are happy keeping our systems of slavery in place.

Any time I have seen people attempt to change the perspective in which we look at politics (ie. The Political Compass) it is always just an avenue for right wing extremists to be validated. The Political Compass helped cause the rise of authoritarianism we see today.

Maybe if your ideology is only appealing under a certain light then it isn’t an appealing ideology.
