I think unfortunately the “illuminati” is a lot more boring than that. It’s just a group of career ladder climbers hell bent on staying close to power and/or those who wield it.
We like to think the only people that would do something like that would be evil men and women part of secret societies with global ambitions but it’s just these greedy fuckers who need validation in a way none of us could ever dream of.
This kind of awkward humor walks a really fine line between funny and just plain old awkward. Stand up comedy is a real deal skill, you couldn’t just go up at an open mic and kill, you probably aren’t doing it in a classroom of your peers barely paying attention.
I just did a minimal amount of googling and this is absolutely not true. Micro transactions have outpaced full game sales by almost 3:1. The entire model of free to play games relies on microtransactions. The biggest games in the world right now are f2p games or paid games with f2p models. I dunno where you’re getting your info from, ancedotally, I’m sure, and maybe you just don’t play games like that… But the rest of the casual game player population absolutely does.
I got an email from OnStar the other day saying it contacted my bank and updated my card info because I had gotten an old card and hadn’t updated the info, I don’t pay for OnStar but the dealership MAKES you set it up even if you don’t use it.
How the fuck are they allowed to contact my bank and get information like that? Weirded my TF out to say the least.
I think it’s fair to wonder why policy changes like those are being pushed so late into the presidents term. Seems like primaries and elections drive policy more than anything else.
