Any puzzle that requires exceptional levels of creativity to solve is going to leave some players stranded
When I think about how many famous, powerful people have been outed as child molesters, it definitely seems to me that pedophilia is something that can develop within people. I don’t think that pedophiles tend to become famous, nor do I think that the trend among powerful people is reflected in the general population.
From the wikipedia article
There are motives for child sexual abuse that are unrelated to pedophilia, such as stress, marital problems, the unavailability of an adult partner, general anti-social tendencies, high sex drive or alcohol use.
This seems crazy to me and I don’t think any of it explains why so many powerful people actively seek to molest children. Treating pedophilia as a condition or as a quirk in one’s sexuality seems dangerous to me. You can like petite people, you can do schoolgirl roleplay or whatever you want with a consenting adult. Don’t even think about kids. That should be an immediate red light in anyone’s brain.
Certified lover-boy? Certified child molester WOP WOP WOP WOP WOP
No I think they’re just old-fashioned. My parents waited a while to have kids; they’re in their 60s/70s now, so a bit older than most people are probably imagining. I don’t think they actually believe a man and a woman can really be friends, so it’s like they’re trying to “call it” in a way.
I definitely wouldn’t trade it for parents who didn’t give a damn about what I was doing, at any rate. I guess I just wish they were a little more interested in what I’m doing and less interested in who I’m with is all.
Thanks for the comment/perspective. Not sure what’s up with the downvotes on yours in particular.
I’ve tried it and I can’t seem to phrase it politely enough that it doesn’t upset them (and boy can they get upset) but also firmly enough for them to actually listen. Kinda think I’m gonna try blurring my friends’ faces so they can’t tell me how beautiful they are anymore.
You’re right, I know it’s harmless at the end of the day. The biggest issue it creates is that it makes me want to not talk about my friends with them, but I can get over it. Who cares if they think I’m getting a lot more action than I actually am anyway
In Sesotho, “how are you?” is “ho joang?” which gets shortened to “hj”
Horrendous take lmao
No, in fact some people are misdiagnosed adhd when they are actually lazy
I agree, was just curious thank you.
Is it any different from the existing vegan community?
Pretty sure they’re .gsheet
Yours and other comments have been insightful and have made me reconsider some assumptions I did not realize I had made, so thank you.
I’ll concede that a sedentary person of normal weight doesn’t need to worry much about getting all their essential amino acids. If I was interested in gaining muscle on a plant-based diet, would you say that I would still be wasting energy by stressing about eating all the proteins? Wouldn’t that make my only issue getting the right amount of calories?
I’ll look for some literature when I have the time but if you have any off-hand knowledge you could share then I would appreciate it.
I’m not sure what the implication of living in a developed country is. People can have vastly different diets in developed countries and people may have different protein needs. Just because you live in a developed country doesn’t make you immune to malnutrition.
Great post!
I wanted to add that this isn’t quite how proteins work. Those protein-rich legumes aren’t what you would call ‘complete proteins.’ There’s a number of amino acids our bodies use as proteins and while legumes are a good source of many of them, there’s a couple proteins you won’t get enough of from just the beans. Fortunately, brown rice- while not as rich in protein- gives you the proteins that the beans are lacking. That’s why beans and rice are a match made in heaven.
Herbivorous animals are just better at metabolising proteins from plants and of course they’re capable of eating much more than us. That’s why they’re able to live off of grass.
This just stuff I read up on a few years ago so if I’ve gotten something wrong please say so
You might notice Pork Belly and Ribeye Steak belong way higher than the red dots representing them. In your proposition, I don’t think there exists an elegant way to represent those data points.
Other responses are kind of fence-sitting so I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say yeah it’s poor taste, but forgiveable. I think it just boils down to why would you use a skin tone that’s not yours? Some people like having an emoji that’s they share with others of their color, so why intrude on that?
Then what is your explanation for black and brown people more likely to use the skin toned emojis, as has been mentioned so much in this thread? Are they less lazy than white people, or care more about it? If they care more about it, then why?
It does look miserable but if the bus stop was before the landing then would it not prevent cars trying to take the turn before the island?
