These subsidies are not paid to the doctor or hospital. They are paid to the insurance company the person has selected on the marketplace. A lot of these people cannot afford these plans without the subsidies and therefore the healthcare company will get less/no money from them.

Maybe you could make the argument that the insurance companies are losing money on these plans offered to these people but knowing what I pay personally for marketplace insurance I doubt that.

I get the desire to swoop in as soon as possible but that often isn’t the most effective option. (Speaking of crime generally) If the suspects know each other then if one goes down the others are likely to go into hiding or destroy evidence. In human trafficking cases that can mean fewer rescues. Also while you may have enough evidence of some crime it might be a relatively minor one instead of one that could put them away for good (think Al Capone getting caught for taxes rather than everything else).

That will be depend on the game. For something competitive like CS2 yeah FPS above all for most players. But for more immersive games like Expedition 33 or other “cinematic” games I think most players will play at the highest settings that still give them a stable 60+ fps.

This of course assumes it wasn’t a SIG Sauer P320. They do seem to be capable of firing on their own. Which is why the rules of firearms are so important.

Edit: Article claims it was a Glock. Unless you’ve done something unspeakably stupid to a Glock it won’t shoot on its own.
