Iran might have been on a path to a more civil society when moderates were at power. However this was against Israels plan to picture the local rival as force of evil… so Trump singlehandedly ended the nuclear deal Iran was kept word in and proved to the Iraninan leaders that ‘the West’ can’t be trusted. Next election saw a switch to more conservativism and repression, just as intended.
I’d say you’re right.
One possible solution would be to wrap your plastic containers in something that blocks light (or, more accurately, UV rays). Off the top of my head, I’d suggest coconut mats or something similar. They also look a bit nicer than sauce buckets.

Okay, I guess I took all that a little too seriously again—sorry about that.
If I’m picturing the situation correctly, the meltwater is dripping from the panels (or from the frozen gutter) onto the ground below—in this case, the parking lot. Since the ground is frozen, drop by drop a layer of ice forms, gradually turning the entire parking lot into a skating rink… if cars start sliding or people fall flat on their faces when getting out, no one wants to be held liable, which is why the idea is unpopular in climates with long, cold winters.

This doesn’t necessarily fix the problem. If the ground is at -5 ° Celsius after a cold winter night and the snow melt is dripping drop for drop from the panels it refreezes before it can reach any gutter.

And massive subsidies China gives its industries to dump global markets and take control afterwards

Garbage trucks aside… I truly wonder what will be happening to all those vapes thrown into the countryside when they degrade eventually. Will we have regular fire seasons due to corroding batteries?

Making people “disappear” is a method of intimidation that was already used during the Nazi era in Germany (and in many other right-wing and left-wing dictatorships) to spread fear and terror among the civilian population (see Hitler’s “Night and Fog” decree).
Someone knocks on your door at night, you are taken away, and neither friends, family, nor anyone else knows where you have disappeared to. The uncertainty is more agonizing than any punishment (which you will still face, just not publicly) because your loved ones don’t know if they might actively worsen your situation by taking action.
“Enforced disappearance” has also constituted a crime against humanity since 2002… but who’s surprised there’s no outcry?

My two cents:
It’s unlikely Cuba is able to fend off an American bombing campaign / possible invasion, given the US wasn’t ruled by a maniac surrounded by yes-men lacking competence. However it is also unlikely that a) this US admin is able to pull off a well planned and organized intervention/invasion, Mango Mussolini is first of all to impatient b) the US would be able to win anything in this conflict as the sure as hell won’t be able to install a pro-US regime let alone govern the island themselves… this is also the reason nobody since Kennedy tried it.
Most probable outcome would be Israelian playbook the US is trying to experiment with in Iran: Bomb necessary infrastructure to ruins and let civilians suffer in order to weaken the nation you’re attacking and claim victory even though you achieved nothing besides willingly breaking international law.

When SU retaliated against Nazi-Germany they soon became careful when ooting civilian homes, reason: booby traps
This comment is completely unrelated to the video.

This is known for quite some time.
It’s estimated that the sanctions against Saddams Iraq, including medical products such as antibiotics, subsequently caused the death of ~ 200 k children due to treatable diseases.
I can’t really blame any parents who hate the sanctioning nations afterwards.

Devils advocate:
You’re also sure it will be upheld under this SCOTUS?

A perfect storm is brewing for the US: A historical finance bubble about to bust in a time where the country is led by a fool proud of his ignorance and corruption, whith a FED no longer led by competence but by a loyalist to the jester on the throne.

Is this the same army that just got their budget DOUBLED when the orange took office? Or am I missing something here?

Correct me if I’m wrong but Reform is trending in the polls by again using xenophobia as disguise for market libertarism… effectively meaning higher prices in the long run. Do Britains even want lower prices as they keep cheering the same liars that sold them Brexit as a splendid idea?

The damage this admin is causing won’t be fixable for a long time. No matter how hard the oligarchy is punished afterwards… if it is at all.

Chinas solar industry most probably…
Interesting question.
Imho the problem is in the meantime it’s no longer only Russia but also the US and China who use right wing populism to destabilize the EU as exonomic and social competing system. If Russia should fall the tec bros and China will still finance disinformation campaigns.
