I also just toughed it out and radically accepted and expected them to happen tbh, and I didn’t taper off either, I just got off them immediately which is inadvisable but I have a thing where i’d rather have big pain fast than small pain slow. I got them multiple times every minute or so for (I think) between 2 and two weeks.

I personally don’t like microblogging platforms in general. It’s cool that there’s an alternative to twitter and the like, but I just have no pull towards platforms that emulate that kind of environment.
I think it’s great that it’s so popular and has introduced a lot of people to the fediverse and spread awareness of ethical alternatives to corporate slop, but is not for me.

Tbh it’s an unfortunate risk that comes with relationships, period. Doesn’t matter how many relationships one has, be it simultaneously or not. Practicing safe sex, testing and communicating well is the only thing that separates someone with STDs, and someone without STDs. I’d go so far as to say people who have open relationships probably tend to practice safety more often than those who don’t
