Why does Techno Mage need headphones? Does the OpenWellington not support sound drivers?
WARNING: CLOCK GAINED 3 DAYS
Haha, these little details are so great :)
At least they now allow passwords over 8 characters (yes, serious).
Are you 100% certain they don’t just truncate your password to 8 characters?
If you take a look at my calculation, I’m assuming 24fps because this is a movie.
Why do you feel the need to change phones? Pixel 6 Pro should still be plenty good enough.
If its stock ROM bothers you, you’re in luck because Pixels are surprisingly hackable and it’s very easy these days.
See i.e.: https://grapheneos.org/
No need to worry about Google services, they work: https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play
I see. In future, better refer to this as “ripped blu-rays” or “ripped ISOs” to avoid confusion. “uncompressed” really does mean something entirely different.
Glad you managed to sort it out :)
WDYM by “uncompressed”? A truly uncompressed 4K HDR movie needs about 6Gbit/s of goodput. A 2.5Gbit/s link won’t be enough for that.
Poe’s law strikes again. “What changed my mind were the tankies on hexbear who consistently were the most knowledgable on a topic” is just so on the nose that it might just be what some people actually think.
If your headphones are crappy, a better source won’t really help. It’s not an or here, headphones make most of the difference. Only decent headphones will appreciably benefit from a good source.
MP3 isn’t ideal but, unless you have rather good headphones, 320kbit/s MP3 is pretty damn near transparent.
Currently, Lemmy communities appear as group accounts on mastodon which boost every post or comment posted to/in a community. This is effectively useless except for extremely low traffic communities maybe.
It’s not clear to me whether this is a Lemmy or Mastodon issue.
Now that’s meta.
Based on that generic request, you’re just going to get everyone’s personal favourite server OS here. You’ll need to give more details to get something tailored to your needs.
It depends. Expended energy/m is higher but space usage is much lower. For walking you arguably don’t even need a paved path while (non-sport) cycling needs a somewhat even surface and places to store and lock the bike. It’s not nearly as bad as with cars but even with cycling, space usage can become an issue in very densely populated areas; the Dutch don’t build massive bike garages because it’s cool (okay, maybe also a little of that) but because it’s a necessity.
If it’s near enough to walk, it’s usually better to just walk.
I’m thinking on get a couple of pirated files, so i’d like to be as secure as possible.
These are mutually exclusive.
I got tired of doing everything manually
Perhaps check out NixOS
As always, stable releases are about how frequently breaking changes are introduced. If breaking changes potentially happening every day is fine for you, you can use unstable. For many use-cases however, you want some agency over when exactly breaking changes are introduced as point releases a la NixOS provide you with a 1 month window to migrate for each release.
