Yeah! I listened to some of their stuff a couple of years ago and then got reminded of them recently because of their new stuff. I thought they were the band from the Japanese movie and not a current band.
I will keep an eye open for them heading my way!
Just started listening to it. I haven’t come across NTS before.
I just got around to listening to this. I like it. Thanks!
Holy crap. You are not wrong when you say it’s graphic, OP. I just had a listen to a couple of Hana Vu tracks and have put her latest album in my listen queue.
My pleasure!

Good find. Another artist you and I agree on!
Good point. Seems like the music in the vid is about 18 secs quicker than on the record itself. I wonder why? I didn’t know about that remixed released…sounds good.
Who’s on bass now? I recall seeing that Paz got the boot.
I wonder if she likes them now? I say this because, I’m sure it’s a thing that people who used to think you/I were weird back then, will nowadays swear blind that they liked that stuff the whole time and that there was never a time they didn’t like it. In a slightly Orwellian way.
Once again, @[email protected]’s Venn diagram of music taste, overlaps with mine!
The NME said at the time of its release…
Aztec Camera, the Housemartins, the Smiths and the La’s – all very special groups, and now you can listen to them all at once! Perfect. Crystalline. Divine. Confident…
Out of the all the bands who are in my top 50 most listened to, The Sundays are one of the few that I was never able to see live.
last.fm tells me that I have listened to Reading, Writing and Arithmetic 110 times digitally. However, I also own physical copies on cassette, CD and vinyl. I reckon that I must have clocked up somewhere near 1000 plays by now.
Do you like their other 2 albums? They also have some very good songs that were b-sides.
Yes, I too think that this is what a band would sound like if Billy Corgan decided to make music like this. I didn’t quite get the same tingle of excitement with Silversun Puckups when I first heard them as I did with Smashing Pumpkins, though.
This is a great cover version and one of my favourite SK tracks. I hadn’t seen that performance before. I wonder what its story is?
Not that many were using it, but Songwhip is dead. Links that are already created still work but not sure how long this will last.
