  • What’s moreso ironic about Thanksgiving is, it as a Holiday, is further a victim of a form of Holiday imperialism.

So like, we have Christmas right? And it’s been turned into just insane consumerism for years. And from that consumerism spawned “Black Friday.” Which in and of itself, has practically become its own Holiday, and Thanksgiving is becoming some afterthought. In advertising, media, etc. you barely see anything about Thanksgiving anymore,it’s all about pushing Black Friday, and no also “Cyber Monday” sales. Members of my family sit around at Thanksgiving and actually plan out where they are going for Black Friday. It’s sickening.

So we are basically watching a Holiday based on colonialism, being consumed by a kind of holiday imperialism…

Sorry if this seems like insane rambling. Lol

  • They have put themselves in an absolute lose lose situation. They attack Venezuela and they build even more support to Maduro for resisting. Now that they are taking direct action, anyone they could ever try to put into power will be constantly resisted by the people.

And if they back off? They ALSO build more support for Maduro. There’s nothing they can do that will not make them look weak and build support for Maduro. Nothing. The best they can look for is to just get lucky and pray for a coup or like, a accidental death. But I’m sure Maduro has a whole lineup ready to take on the mantle and keep resisting.

All they can do is sit out there on their overpriced and under-functional ships and murder innocent fishers, hoping to goad Venezuela into being the aggressors. But even that is failing. lol.

  • So for the AI bubble, it will not pop. The oligarchy has manipulated the stock market so much, that they really can just do whatever they want to control it. As most it will deflate while they move their assets somewhere else. But for right now, they NEED the AI to keep going, so it will. And only when they are done with it will they let it die, but odds are that’s a ways out. Just look at that they are doing to RAM prices now just to keep their AI monster shambling along.

  • They absolutely tried to use psychedelics to do crazy mind control experiments, and the things they did are unspeakably disgusting. Although, I legit think some of them were used as an excuse to drug and rape kids, and the fucking Feds were ALL about that shit. Hence the unspeakable part.

The funny thing is, psychedelics were actually terrible for that because instead of sequestering the mind, and making people into programmable zombies, they actually did the opposite. They enhanced creativity and independence. They actually cause you to feel more empathy, not less. They make you a non-conformist, not fall in line.

Idk about all psychedelics, but I can absolutely tell you, psilocybin mushrooms will show you a level of empathy, and connection to the world you never thought possible. No way I’m hell they could ever be used to control people.

On the flip side, there’s a reason why there’s a pretty widespread problem with the over prescription of SSRIs and other similar meds in the US. Those things have been shown to basically turn you into a zombie of a person. I almost killed myself because of those fucking things. Mgic mushrooms, however; literally saved my life and actually opened my mind up to so many new ways of thinking and a kind of, “radical empathy” that started me down the path to being a communist when I was just a stupid shitlib. Really changed my outlook and understanding of the world.

  • "These holidays are actually pretty great, it’s capitalism that ruins everything. " Is basically the gist of both holidays. The difference is that Halloween, isn’t nearly as capitalism infected as Christmas. Other than decorations and costumes, spending on candy is no where near what it is for Christmas presents. And making a good costume doesn’t even have to be expensive. The worst part about it is the candy and stuff but even that is part of the fun because kids love going around and getting treats and stuff. And I LOVE giving out candy and seeing all the kids in costumes.

Also, dressing up in costumes is awesome. I love it. It’s so much fun. I feel it would pretty easy to convert it to a less consumer minded holiday.

  • I love the aesthetics and ambiance of Christmas. Warm colorful lights and decorations. The festive feeling and using reefs and such to bring color to an otherwise horribly gray and depressing season.

I HATE all the obsession with gift giving and shopping and buying. Basically, the way capitalism wormed its way into it.

Essentially, I like all the parts of Christmas that were basically stolen from other religions. I hate the aspects from Christianity, which were the easiest to use to inject capitalism into it (presents).

I think it should just be about bringing warmth and color to an otherwise cold and drab season. Where I’m from, there’s more deciduous trees than coniferous so all the trees loose their leaves. The sky is most overcast. With nothing but bare, dead looking trees and overcast sky, everything becomes gray and depressing. Due to the angle of the sun it’s like, daytime is “perpetually 10 am untill all of a sudden it’s 3pm. Then you get off work and by the time you are home it’s night.”

Christmas lights and such combat that drab depression. I just wish the holiday was more about JUST being with friends and family and bringing some cheer and warmth. Instead of all the shopping and “literally kill someone for the last TV on black Friday” type shit. Fuck presents. It’s too much of a focus when it SHOULD be like, a minor side thing. Little fun stuff not the main focus.
