Purolator and UPS have paused shipments from some courier companies as they try to work through a deluge of deliveries brought on by the Canada Post strike.
Perhaps until an agreement is reached, managers from Canada post should be slogging through the weather delivering mail that’s piled up so they can understand the workers’ position better, rather than sitting at a desk in a warm office thinking about money.
Thing is, most of the lower-level management have no more power here than the workers. It’s the highest-level people that need to be out slogging, and they wouldn’t be able to deliver enough mail to make a difference.
