Having a supreme court justice for each judicial district seems like a good idea to me, for a total of 13.
And also having term limits would be great.
Especially since it’s harder to corrupt a larger pool…
Or at least more expensive.
This. Pull judges directly from the Federal Circuit; run them for 8-10 years; then send them back to the Federal Circuit as a ‘Distinguished’ judge.
Supreme Court Judges should resist political pressure; but they should not be appointed for life.
Info: A ‘Distinguished Judge’ is a former SCOTUS justice who served their complete term and cannot be re-nominated to the Supreme Court ever again. It is a lifetime title granted when they make it to the SCOTUS and complete one term.
Anyone informed of this simple fact ought to want to expand the court. Who did they interview, anyway? Only the clueles?
Compromise by doing both.
Although a poll of ~1600 people does seem like kind of a small sample size . . .
It’s a fine sample size. That’s a normal national poll. A poll of 1,000 people has a margin of error (from random sampling) of 3%. There are other errors than random chance that could bias a poll, but random chance is what sampling size is generally managing.
