I am axtive in communities that requite uploading images, but i haven’t been able to properly upload any images using Sync in months. The communities are across multiple instances, so I believe it is a Sync issue.
Seeing the same issue this morning, sure it was working quite recently though.
EDIT - yep, posted a gif 4 days ago and an image a week ago, so something has changed since then.
EDIT 2 - trying that same image again:
And that seems to work. Filesize maybe? Or extension (my first attempt today was a jpg, that one is a png)?
EDIT 3 - jpg, 1.5Mb:
Success. That’s a smaller version of an image that failed to post. Bigger version was 2.9Mb, so maybe there’s a limit?
In case it helps…
Device information
Sync version: v24.03.26-14:56 Sync flavor: googlePlay View type: Smaller cards Push enabled: false Device: raven Model: Google Pixel 6 Pro Android: 14
What device? I’ve never had a problem.
I’m on a Galaxy A32. Everything is currently up to date, but i cant upload images from my phone gallery.
Check your instances limitations on file size. That could be a reason. I use an image compressor to get around my instances size limit.
You won’t get a response from the dev in a reasonable amount of time by posting here. Best odds are making a Github issue
Is he still developing? He told the discord about an update dropping in a week like 1.5 months ago and then just disappeared :0
I stopped using the lemm.ee instance because picture uploads are limited to 100kb. I only got a “failed” error from Sync, had to Google it to find out
Could be that
It’s that. I got around it by using an image compressor.
