At the reception for my CT and there is no one here lol.

Least I went private so I got an appt real quick, but it’s like a ghost town in here 😱

Edit: nevermind, all done. I got lost but still got the scan 10mins before my actual appt time #winning

I have a sore throat and a headache. Fun times. Plus side I guess is that I don’t have anything on till this Arvo, so I can do a sleep in. But I got absorbed into a the YouTube “documentary” about YouTube drama. Oddly fascinating. Like watching a train wreck

YouTube drama can be weirdly fascinating at times. There’s a 4 hour video on Nickacado Avocado and it’s all so low stakes but incredibly important to the people going through it at the time

I struggled to get home this afternoon. I kept wanting to fall asleep as I was driving home.

Made it home through had a wash then flopped on my bed and fell asleep until now.

I think my blanket last night was too warm for me so I’m going to change it out for a few days as it’s been warmer.

Anyway making some garlic bread now.

    Hungry!

It so is, I’ve been putting a load out when my MIL isn’t in the backroom of her place (which is where the back door is). Unfortunately she usually sits there so it limits me to before she gets up or when she has her afternoon nap.

There’s just something that hits different doing Duolingo with music in the background, the music dims when the Duolingo audio comes on and then when the audio stops, the music returns to full volume.

Mine don’t do that, but it would probably be a stress relief. Even when I know I’m right, there’s always such anxiety I’ll get a “BA-DOO” instead of a “BA-DONG”. It’s soul crushing

My headache resolved itself with a sleep. My sore throat regrettably didn’t. I did too much raised voicing yesterday

On the train last night some guy kept sneezing next to me without covering his mouth and now I’m sick.

I went to the office and let my manager know and she said to go home. Which was really nice.

Teams meetings all day tomorrow anyway, just didn’t want to be away from work. The difference between sectors is dramatic.

I still see far too much of this in public, and it makes me mad, especially as someone who hasn’t been able to work for the past week from covid. Some people either learnt nothing from the last few years or simply don’t give a damn and it shows.

Fkn ferals! Crawling all over the trains and trams, coughing and snuffling, wiping their faces with their hands and smearing it everywhere like angry monkeys throwing their shit.

Why don’t the Geneva Conventions on Biological Warfare extend to the common disease-ridden citizen?

Don’t even get me started on buses.

I got up and walked away from someone on the ferry who kept coughing wetly. I can only hope she was recovering from something, but I was not taking the risk.

I’m still piiiiiiiiised about when my expensive trip to Mildura was ruined by some lady who was coughing all weekend. I think I ended up with a combination of food poisoning and the cold while stranded hundreds of KMs from home in almost the middle of nowhere.

        sick

Throwing up into a rubbish bag on a bus is not good. Fucking horrendous experience.

So tired today so I took the day off. Allergies I think, my terrace is covered in pollen dust and my nose tickles as soon as I go out there.

To balance last weeks good luck getting third in line at the food market, today I got third last. I ended up with three parsnips so will have to do lots of roast vegie dishes. Also a leek and some potatoes, which would be much better news if it was still soup weather.

I’d be embarrassed as hell if the talk of the Brisbane Olympics was US celebrities. Just saying.

Rejected for a job because I was basically too good (?), but they’ve invited me to apply for a more senior role coming up next month. Not really sure what to do with this information.

at which point they’ll tell you that you don’t have enough experience for the senior role. Why? Cause they’re fuckers.

      Least thats my experience.

The more senior role is very similar to my last job, but yep, every chance there’ll be another amazing candidate so I’m certainly not holding my breath.

It’s great they offered to put you forward for another position. I’ve had that excuse and no one knows what to do, like ‘so you don’t want to employ competent people?’
