Housesitting this week which means I have a backyard momentarily. Am making to most of it and working outside in the sun. Need to find myself a good spot near home in the sun/nature that I can go to work sometimes because this is nice.

The other night I thought “I wonder when Madame Web comes out online, I’m curious to see how bad it is” and then found out that it had been out for a while, I just somehow missed it. Odd considering how often I check recent releases.

Anyway I tried to watch it and I made it maybe 10 minutes in before I couldn’t take it anymore. They were not kidding about it being bad. It has some of the worst acting I’ve seen since The Room, and I’ve seen Morbius.

I’m a big superhero movie/content fan but this will just be one of the very rare superhero things I’ll never watch.

I had a dream last night about water some sort of edible plant and it was starting to wilt by the end of the dream.

I remember also eating one leaf or stem or something and it was the most flavourful delicious thing I’ve ever eaten.

Being awake now and it being a vegetable I know that’s a lie.

That classic balancing act of whether to take the kids to childcare and risk getting a call to come pick them up, or have them stay home and deal with them the whole time.

My boy is in better spirits now the rest of the family is up, so I’ll take my chances taking them in

4 days later and my toe is basically better. Still can’t fully move it, but it’s definitely muscular rather than bone-ular… Also massively overstretched my calf and shin muscles in the incident, which is the main source of discomfort now. Always tuck your backpack straps away people.

Took today off to focus on uni, predictably I have been “busy” with life admin/house chores… gone out to get a coffee, organised a drs visit, bought groceries, doing heaps of laundry… 🤪

That said I have a meeting with an uni person at 2pm which will light a bit of a fire under my bum. And I have mapped out exactly which papers to read and in what order so I’m confident I’ll make some progress.

Binged through all of Fake on Saturday night. Man, it was compelling, almost like an Aussie Baby Reindeer. So many things that were infuriating in how people were acting.

Also watched The Instigators with Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. Story isn’t all that flash, but I thought it was hilarious. The banter between characters gave me a good laugh most of the time.

Trainer at my gym has been giving pre-workout to people in resealable bags to try. She really talked it up, so I am her next “customer”.

Had a radox salt bath last night (would’ve bought it 15 yrs ago). Haven’t had an actual bath in donkeys ears. Trying to undo some back niggles from the weirdo twisting weight / angle stuff with this fukn retaining wall.

In my raver days used to come home at an ungodly hour, after the all night boogie, jump in the bath with that green stuff then really struggle to crawl out.

They were good times. These days not so much. No rave, only pain.

Went outside this morning and saw this

Checked my cameras. Yesterday at 4:30pm he came back, drove up the driveway, and tore up my yard on his illegal motorbike thing. I am absolutely kicking myself for not noticing sooner, because I actually heard the motorbike, but there’s been a lot of goons recently and I’m near a roundabout. Lots of bikes have been joining around the roundabout, I assumed this was just a particularly loud one. Ugh

Ironically the last few nights I’ve actually started feeling safe. I was thinking “well nothing’s happened in a few weeks, I’m probably safe”. Then this happens.

Any advice, DT? Worth calling the police? I did manage to catch him on the camera, but he’s in a hoodie and helmet, and it very narrowly missed the plates

Sorry, should’ve clarified. He’s the old housemate that broke into my room and broke my things while I was away. Seems he’s still pissed at me for one reason or another

The footage is enough for a police report. If you know who it is and can provide the police with enough information to identify the rider, then they will probably act on that.

Even if all you give them is an example of this bike doing this at 4am, when the guy is eventually apprehended, they’ll pile this onto whatever he is charged with.
