Hard to imagine a worse font choice than that bottom one.
Needs more e-girls.
Meanwhile in Canada, you can grow a beard now while getting raped in a black-mould-filled bucket for 4 years.
A crumb of context?
Widespread sexual abuse and dangerously moldy ships are two notable scandals the Canadian forces have had recently, as part of a larger growing infamy, and terms of service last a lot longer than in America. They’re response to beef up recruitment is… relaxed facial hair restrictions.
Were just the best ain’t we
A couple of the articles about this mentioned that UFL’s viewing figures were believed to be harmed by this deal as well.
So not only did fewer people want to join the army after seeing UFL and the rock promote it, but fewer people wanted to watch UFL after seeing it was associated with the army. Talk about a toxic brand.
Is The Rock even popular with their target demographic, 18-25 year olds? Seems like they’re targeting Gen Zers with the kind of star power that Millenials would fall over for.
Maybe they should do more stuff like when Transformers had really army personal doing actual training exercises in the movie then advertise the heck out of the fact that that was real stuff you can do by joining the armed forces. Or just advertise hard on the benefits since Gen Zers seem really in tune with that
Just write/film war media, people slurp it up. Authors will often avoid writing about war, because it’s hard to not make it seem cool, even when the entire point of the work is that war is atrocious.
or build a country they’d actually choose to fight for?
Spend that $11M on providing drinkable water to people on-base instead maybe?
Naaaaaah. Then some random colonel wouldn’t get to sniff the Rock’s jock.
Where did you not have drinkable water?
And you think reallocating the recruitment budget fixes a negligence problem?
Just privatize the army, I hear it’s way more efficient
Habitual Linecrosser tweeted about this as well
I think they already tried that route a while ago. Dustin on Smarter Every Day did several videos about the Navy and I think Coast Guard. Idk who mr Linecrosser is but I don’t think the military would ever approve normal YouTube content that is aimed at children. Like there’s not going to be a “Last one to survive Mr. Beasts mine field wins 1 million dollars!!!” video sponsored by the Army.
Habitual Linecrosser is a former missile defense operator turned YouTuber. No one’s talking about aiming content at children with Mr Beast type shit, not sure where you got that from. We need to increase recruitment and more people in the 17-25 age range are watching Youtube over regular TV.
