      It’s an ear submerged underwater. The photo was used for the sleeve of the Pink Floyd album “Meddle”; only the bottom right square (rotated sideways) is visible when looking at a closed album from the front, leaving many people confused as to what the image was supposed to represent. When the sleeve is unfolded to show the rest of the ear on the backside of the sleeve, the full picture become clear.
