It’s to do with exposure, the doctor does it all day, you get a couple in your lifetime.

I you walk into a bar and the bartender takes a shot of tequila with you, you’d both be fine.
If the bartender takes a shot of tequila with everyone who enters the bar, every visitor would be fine and the bartender would be dead.
