So one of the things I found out while cleaning out the garage was that my old childhood teddy had been left out there - and of course in a spot where it leaked 😖.
A soak and then a run through the washing machine on a gentle cycle didn’t shift the dirt, so I tried putting him in another pillowcase and running the normal cycle - which got the dirt out but also half the stuffing.
Any suggestions for repairs? I seem to remember there was a discussion recently about it.

      Here’s a good guide. https://www.instructables.com/Stuffed-Animal-Restoration/

However a seam ripper might be safer than an exacto knife if you have one. Pick a relatively straight/flat seam to open just to make it easy on yourself when closing him back up. I’d also recommend not wringing his casing out but rolling him in a towel and pressing that under a book to remove water, and then air drying. (Wringing can stretch out fabric and dryers can cause shrinkage or permanent shiny spots where the faux fur got flat ironed against the hot drum.)

If you feel a bit out of your depth or don’t want to take your chances you can take him to the Doll Hospital https://thedollhospital.com.au/

So I have garlic bread, but I don’t have an oven. Reckon it’ll cook up alright in a frying pan?

Bread is easy to do in a pan. I once had a very small kitchen and tried to do one-person meals with a single pan and minimal prep or washing up.

I would cook a few fried eggs then push them over to the side (moving that half of the pan a little off the flame) and fry the unbuttered bread on the open part directly over the heat. Toasting the bread like that soaked up the leftover oil from the eggs for easy cleanup and kept everything warm. Cheese is a good addition, but salt and pepper (and maybe dead horse) is enough.

You can also microwave a potato til soft and roughly chop it up. Serve with butter and seasonings (salt, pepper, and paprika), or a little tin of tuna drained of oil. Or fry the pre-zapped pieces to brown them and push them to the side to do some eggs.

If you’re careful you can cut and stir/flip with only a fork, season the food in the pan or bowl, and eat straight from what it was cooked in. Leaving you to wash only one pan and one fork.

Should be ok. Separate all pieces first and if you can put more butter or oil on each piece, that would make it better. Low to medium heat.

They are always scabby on the butter.

If you have the budget, I recommend you get yourself an air fryer. I know that doesn’t really help you with your present problem. I don’t know whether you can cook it up in a frying pan. I’ve always had access to an oven.

You can probably cook it up in a Microwave, but take it out of the foil first.

Following a meal plan as part of a fitness challenge. Spent three hours meal prepping today for the next few days. It’s a bit of a headache having to figure out when to cook what, but I really got into a flow state.

Not sure what I’m going to do when uni goes back, but maybe I’ll just spend all day on a Sunday cooking and freeze stuff.

Cooking is actually fun (even though I stupidly put garlic in a mega hot pan and it kinda burnt straight away)

Good morning friendship pals! The sun is shining(somewhere), the birds are chirping(but not so much), and HOPEFULLY my delivery is coming today. “Transferred at Sunshine West” yeah you BETTER BE.

I had a dream where robots invaded the earth so that was cool and I fully support then in their hobbies.

I ordered some sheets from Kmart almost a fortnight ago and had them redirected to my post office, but then a week ago it said it was “in transit” twice in my suburb and has never updated to say it’s arrived at my post office

Did they send it via couriers please? Every time I’ve gotten something from them they have, and couriers please has managed to fuck something up.

That sounds like them. I swear they’ve never managed to deliver anything well.

One time they broke one delivery, and then broke the replacement that was sent.

I don’t understand why I still have some residual sniffles… I was like the first one to get sick, and that happened 15 days ago, but was probably infected about 19 or 20 ago

My partner and kid both came down with something 2 weeks ago, which started with razor-blade sore throat and sniffles then progressed into a hacking cough. Although they’re both much better now, they’re still coughing and have the sniffles. There’s a few nasty viruses going around atm.

Hope you’re feeling g better soon

Got my covid booster within six months no questions asked beside my date of birth (I’m 22) and name. Apparently pharmacies don’t follow the rules? I’m only allowed to get it every 12 months lol

I’m keen to get my booster, but I think the advice is still that people under 18 shouldn’t get it unless they have specific health conditions

I had it about a month ago, and the pharmacist told me that it was a good idea to have another one in six months if I was at all high risk or needed to travel, and that some pharmacies were stricter but most aren’t.

pair of fingerless gloves from reject shop is a game changer! If you have a small room you can close the door on you’d be surprised how fast the computer warms the space up too.
