When I heard about this, i instantly downloaded Eden emulator. They have their own website and repository, so Nintendo cannot just misuse DMCA there.

    • Website: https://eden-emu.dev/
    • Repository: https://git.eden-emu.dev/eden-emu/eden/
    • Downloads: https://git.eden-emu.dev/eden-emu/eden/releases

Edit: Still playing with Yuzu. Its probably time to move on. Ryujinx was problematic back then, BTW.

Yeah good point, Eden is kinda the only one that matters right now anyway.

“Illegal cryptographic keys” = “illegal numbers”

I don’t understand how they think they’re ever going to stop open source software with lots of community interest from being developed and distributed. All they’re doing is hurting their own reputation

Console gaming the way it exists now has one, maaaaybe two generations left. I don’t think Nintendo has a choice at this point but to fight interoperability tooth and nail for as long as they can.

They’re not trying to stop it, just force enough of it deeper underground that normal people will give up and buy the hardware instead of jumping through increasing numbers of hoops to emulate.
