LEGO Skylines
Details on the upcoming LEGO x Paradox game being revealed at Gamescom, thanks to the reliable Brick Tap source Moose.with.a.Goose
- Fully-fledged city building game, developed by Iceflake Studios.
- Separate team than Cities: Skylines II, but same game director.
- Very similar to Cities: Skylines but bigger emphasis on making things look good AND be functional.
- Planned to be released on Steam, PS5, Xbox, Switch 2 in early/mid 2027.
- Has story mode and planned updates/DLC for years to come.
- Said to be straightforward enough for beginners but still has enough depth for city builder game fans.
- Aims to support Steam Workshop/user content.
- Aims to include integration with Stud.io so you can design buildings for your city.
very surprised by this! guess i shouldnt be though, two scandinavian companies after all
I know it says a different team than cities skylines, but, I really wanted to love skylines 2 and it’s still sitting in my library, largely unplayed, and I would fire up the first one before 2. All that to say, I’m not super optimistic, I want to be, but, I’m tired of studios throwing out half baked garbage then moving on to the next.
I wonder if this will allow for mixed use building’s or if we’ll still be stuck with American zoning laws
I’m fine with there being a lego version of every game and movie
This is interesting. I like the idea, but I feel like they really should be focusing on working on Skylines 2. Then again, I’m not a developer so, eh.
It’s a different team working on the game.
Well, maybe if they’d focused more, they’d be working on that one instead!
