Over anything and everything possible. When you go on Twitter, you read statuses of what people say and you can feel your brain just cave in on itself because of the levels people will go, to sound that stupid. It also happens on Facebook too but that largely depends as to who you bothered to friend to create pseudo friendships that go no where.

With Reddit, you don’t always just get that feeling, but you always have to feel like your guard must be up at all times. Whether to block someone for obviously flame baiting to having to defend an otherwise meaningless opinion because someone is definitely going to take it out of context, regardless how much time you have spent clarifying it.

Lemmy is more or less the same, it’s just missing the volume of users to recreate that constant on edge feeling. But, Reddit users are somewhat of a special breed. A community that wears many hats, pretending to be so many things, but their primary trait is to always be combative, to make themselves feel better over others when they know their lives are going no where at all.
