The first time I had ever heard of transitioning was from my half Thai friend at 10 years old. I considered transitioning because I was deeply insecure, but realized none of my insecurities were related to my sexual presentation.
Which is to say, presented with the chance to change their sex, non-trans kids pretty easily surmise that it’s not the thing for them, while trans kids do. The rhetoric around trans people inducing transness is has been about as ridiculous as any other pearl clutching panic of the last 70 years.
I agree! I lost sight of kindness multiple times, and when I was shown some or talked to someone empathetic, it was enough to make me cry! We all need more love because it’s too damn easy to hurt-
