The Senate doesn’t get to decide who is pardoned though, and even the article itself mentions that the decision is nonbinding. This is basically just a performative vote.

What matters is whether they’ll do something if she’s pardoned, and we know that the Rs are never going to throw Supreme Leader under the bus.
