A large share of the current Israeli population is from Russian descent, 1st to max. 3rd generation. So no surprise where the loyalty of these goes.
Netanyahu himself is from Russian descent, with his grandfather going by the name Mileikowsky, that the family hebraized to Netanyahu upon emigrating to Israel.
