I’m conflicted whether I should purchase a Switch 2 after owning an OLED, but is there really any graphical difference between an LCD screen versus an OLED screen in both handheld and docked mode? OLED is expensive so that is why they decided to use LCD panels instead, but there are rumors circulating that an OLED variant is in the works expected to be unveiled sometime in late 2027 releasing in 2028.

Why would there be a difference in docked mode?
OLED has better blacks and more dynamic range. But the LCD on the Switch 2 isn’t terrible, it’s perfectly fine.
The better question is, what games would you be playing and do those have a graphical upgrade for the Switch 2? That would probably be a bigger difference than the LCD versus OLED.
