It’s crazy matt read the script and thought “yup, thats for me!” The hubris combined with a complete lack of self awareness is so fucking funny. shame that this will be a lot of people’s only exposure to the source material.
It was a pretty short clip. He and some other big name actors apparently made fun of Robert Pattison because he wanted to read through the script before giving an answer. He said he and the others just said “yes” the moment they got the call.
I’m sure he read it eventually–at least his lines, but I have no idea of the timeline.
