For two years, we’ve lived without electricity. Water comes only once a week for a few hours, so every drop matters. Every day, I light a fire to bake bread and cook for my family.

We have no way to realize how severe your hardship must be. We’re in one of the richest countries in the world. But our government has gradually moved further to the right in the past decades. They support Israel and do not condemn the genocide, nor are they willing to acknowledge the State of Palestine. I hope that this will happen and that Palestine will be recognized. Our lives in Gaza are very difficult. There are no words to express what I feel inside. Unfortunately, when I see my child wanting fruit or a piece of meat and I cannot afford to buy it for him
