I suppose it makes sense once they’re already on inters tho.
Pit and start from pit lane with softs -> guaranteed back of the pack.
Start with inters -> chance of safety car. Not necessarily back of the pack.

If you can pull a 10-15 second gap before the SC comes out, sure. But what did Norris achieve before having to pit? like 3 or 4 seconds?
Anyway, once they started the formation lap(s) with inters on, the best damage control was to take the start with them and hope for some sort of miracle. But that doesnt change the fact of how stupid the decision to start with the inters was in the first place.
