I tried out Assetto Corsa Rally and it feels alright, different to Dirt. Also, it’s amazing how easy sailing the high seas is on Linux. I downloaded a portable version, just opened it with some Proton GUI tools and it ran. Some slight texture problems, but nothing game breaking and you can’t complain for free and working out of the box

Starting the hot sauce ferment today eee.
This should be wikkid hot (and hopefully don’t get botulism).
Don’t use flip top lid bottles. I had a batch over ferment and Boyo coped it to the face. As did the ceiling.

It won’t be botulism (I don’t think) lol the fermentation for hot sauce (and other things) is caused by Limosilactobacillus fermentum (also known as Lactobacillus fermentum).
It can cause Endocarditis; a bacterial infection in/on the heart! Enjoy!

We just put on the Magic Pudding movie and between the animation quality and the cast I thought it came out in 1989. But not too surprised to learn it was actually 2000
I have to admit that I was disappointed with the movie - they downplayed/omitted all the political stuff. The original is a wicked sharp satire on the process of Federation. The movie loses all that stuff and turns it into a wholesome fairy tale. FYI the magic pudding is Federation itself - the other characters are the people who created it for better or for worse. I love the characterisation of NSW as the rooster, and South Australia as the bandicoot. The original illustrations too show who all the participants were very accurately. Barton as Bunyip Bluegum, Parkes as Bill Barnacle. The pudding paddock they all end up in is Canberra. Mr Lindsay has to be congratulated on his drawing skills.
I read they cut a lot out when they adapted it. I might find a good hardcover version soon for the kids
Check out the original text & drawings on Project Gutenberg - and decide whether the very dated language is suitable. It was originally published in 1918 after all. The poems are fun and very quotable. My family still uses the “Eat away, chew away, munch and bolt and guzzle” one as the official start of xmas dinner. Recited in chorus. Would recommend reading it aloud to kids - the book’s a lot of fun that way. And you can gloss over the hideous fate of Curry & Rice if you prefer.

that way I won’t have much thinking to do and will get loads of positive reinforcement when I tick everything off 👍

I need to do something like this. I’m also susceptible to depression overwhelm when faced with a pile of tasks that are tedious and seem futile because I’ll just have to repeat them again in the near future. The real circle of life is just endless cleaning. I just do it in hate mode, haven’t ever found a way to enjoy it.
I’m just hate grinding this shit like video game dailies. One load a day of dishes/laundry = piles gradually get smaller

I have a question for everyone. Apart from the obvious soap, deodorant and toothpaste, what is a beauty product that you use the most, can’t get enough of, can’t live without?
Mine is rosehip oil. I’ve used it on my face for years and now I’m using it after shaving and for eczema. Love the stuff.
A decent hand cream. I wash and sanitize my hands all day and frequently change food handling gloves and they get so dry! I’m not fussy about the brand, but it has to readily absorb and smell gorgeous because it gives me a brief aromatherapeutic mood boost. At the end of the day before I walk out the door I slather it on my hands and walk out of work rubbing it in. ATM I’ve got Ovidia next to the bed and Freshwater Farm in my work bag. Also paw paw ointment for the lips and occasional cuticle application.
Generic brand Vitamin E cream with a sunscreen. Use it on face and body. Cheap, good and not at all greasy. I HAAAAATE wearing makeup, but this stuff I don’t feel at all like I’m wearing anything. Also cheap generic lanolin for dry skin on heels & elbows - slathered on at night and cotton socks over the top. I’ve had dry skin all my life and these two items have been gamechangers for me. Not so much as beauty as for comfort.
lanolin is so good for skin, it’s the closest thing to our natural skin oils, that’s why it’s so good
Me and Miss Seagoon buy the six packs of lanolin from vic market, we give a lot away to friends and fam overseas and use it ourselves too
Lanolin is so nice and velvety. I also have dry skin and during winter I use the heavy duty Nivea creme.

Also, hand wipes. I keep a pack in my handbag and use often.
Either unscented moisturiser or face sunscreen/spf moisturiser.
But if I had to pick out of them all the answer is probably spf moisturiser tbh
From like age 18 to when it was reformulated to sting and then discontinued I just kept buying the same spf15 Nivea tube and used it every single day even if using nothing else.
A decent lip balm, as otherwise I’m prone to cracked lips. My go to is the standard Palmers Cocoa Butter.
