I actually have data on this because I analyzed the earnings calls for a project recently. I grabbed the 2018 files directly from Tesla’s site to baseline his voice against the YouTube streams from this year.
The shift is massive:
2018/2021: He was holding steady with ~2.5% Jitter (vocal instability) and a normal pitch around 125 Hz.
2025 Q3: His Jitter hit 7.1% and his pitch dropped to 96 Hz.
Basically, his vocal motor control has degraded by almost 300% compared to the baseline. That isn’t burnout. The audio profile matches someone who is chemically sedated. It’s 100% the K.
I hope I never become famous enough that people start hyper analyzing the pitch of my voice and comparing it to the pitch recorded from somewhere else 7 years ago and using that to make judgements about my drug use.
It was standardized the best way possible for comparison. Rest I can’t really share.
