Since they started working on this game I’ve had time to go to university, graduate, decide to change careers, go back to university, graduate again, and literally help launch several successful aerospace vehicles. If it ever launches it won’t matter. The dream is dead and anything they release at this point can only be a disappointment. Such a shame.

As long as people keep giving them money they will keep pushing deadlines.

When people stop they will stop making and running the game.

A strange game, the only winning move is not to play.

“S42 will be delayed to 2027. I am almost certain of it now,”

    “Almost certain.”

What most people don’t know, the 42 in Squadron 42 stands for 2042. The release will happen in 17 years from now.

Just saying, No Man’s Sky goes on sale from time to time and still gets feature updates. I have always enjoyed it, though the core game play is not something everyone enjoys. This last release is supposed to have some fixes for multiplayer, but I had to turn it off again due to bugs showing up. I believe they will eventually fix it at some point.

I never even bothered with multiplayer except to play with friends from time to time.

Building my own Corvette has been super fun even though I lack vision and am stupid.

And then I took my fighter out just to remember what it was like AND THEN I GET PULLED INTO A PIRATE DREADNAUGHT FIGHT!

That was so fucking cool. Game is good.

I really wanted to like No Man’s Sky, but the gameplay is just not for me. The entire premise of presentation is very nice and I badly wanted to have a good Space game. It’s 2 years ago or so when I tried it on Game Pass for a few hours. This game had an incredible run since its launch and was so vastly improved and new features added, that I’m actually jealous for those who enjoy the game.

Have you tried Elite Dangerous? I became tired of the time it would take to get to new stations and finally dropped it, but that is another space game.

It definitely will be interesting, considering they are working against their strengths.

It’s not an open world, it’s going to depend heavily on their world building and story writers, it’s going to be an offline linear experience, it’s going to be released as a finished product and not as “oh, this is a work in progress, we’ll continue to work on the flaws”…

Delaying for more money is probably the smarter thing they can do,
