Been following the development of Monero-native DEXs and wanted to share a few thoughts. I recently came across this “https://openmonero.com/haveno-smells-like-a-honeypot” article raising questions about centralization risks in certain platforms. It highlights the importance of reviewing how key control and custody are handled, especially in setups where 2-of-3 multisig access might allow a network operator to control the entire order book. Another write-up on monero.observer goes into more detail about the principles behind OpenMonero, which aims to reduce custodial risk and improve transparency. Also found this academic paper “https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.02392v1” discussing potential traceability in some on-chain interactions, which I think deserves more attention. Just an observer trying to better understand the trust models behind these platforms. Curious to hear others’ thoughts.
