I get your point, but i’d argue it’s still dumb to normalize and encourage 15-16 year olds. Their brain is still developing and a lot of kids that have cannabis experience significant issues later; higher chance of developing depression, poorer cognitive performance in memory and learning (even with extended abstaining). The more its studied the more issues seem to be found so… it’s really not worth it, just wait until you’re an adult with a fully-formed brain - you can’t make good decisions prior about taking stuff that will permanently affect your brain and body health. Same goes for alcohol.

damn, can believe it needs to be said,

    don’t give drugs to children…

I am willing to talk about 16+

given that chances are they’ll try them anyways, and it’ll be better for them to know it’s safe to do them in a safe place like home, and call a trusted adult for help. better than assuming they are saints and hope they don’t do it in a sketchy place when sketchy people.

but straight up giving children drugs? fuck no

hi, just starting experimenting with THC in my 30s as well.

my assumption is that there’s no fucking way a parent can make sure their teen won’t try drugs. so it’s better for them to try it in a safe place with access to a trusted adult they can contact quickly if they need.

I’m not saying a parent can stop them, I’m saying giving it is a bad idea. A parent can tell their kid why they shouldn’t do it, ask them to wait until they’re older, and let the kid make the decision if they find themselves faced with the choice. Children don’t have a lot of disposable income typically though, so obtaining drugs is proportionally more difficult without help.

Ha right? 16+ hmm still sus, but at that age, if they want it they’ll find it on their own which could be problematic in of itself and then it can turn into “Well if they get it from me, at least I can guarantee safety”

But a fucking 6 year old? Yeah that’s a solid fuck no

16 is indeed Sus, but less than that is definitely in the “fuck no” category. that’s why I put my arbitrary are at 16.

14 and found my edibles by climbing to the top of my closet, yhea just a talk about it.

        but 6? no fucking excuse.
