Does going bra-less need campaigning? Is this controversial? Are people giving women attitude for this?

I only wear bras when I’m going horseback riding or into the office for work. I have free tiddies any other time cause it’s comfier. There are a lot of people, usually gen X and boomers, who think women need to wear a bra all the time and not have the straps showing ever.

Nipples can stand out a bit, but my man nipples also aggressively point through my shirt at anyone I’m talking to.

Although I was lightly bullied for my perky pokies as a young man, making me self-conscious about them at a level I have a hard time suppressing or ignoring.

It’s sexism and patriarchy. Because they aren’t thought of as being for milk, and straight men aren’t usually attracted to them (and thus can control themselves (to be clear I’m being sarcastic here, men should not ban our boobs for their sexual attraction and they should be able to control themselves by not seeing us as objects)) then it’s fine.

But really breasts and the nipples on them aren’t inherently sexual and it’s tiring men think/act as if they are.

Inherently, no, but they are secondary sexual characteristics that our species has selected for long enough that the lizard brain instincts find them sexually appealing.

The problem isn’t that men think they’re sexual or find them a turn on. The problem is men not knowing how to control themselves.

              • Right because they don’t get taught that’s a thing they have to or should do. Because so much of the media and societal values/views teaches them that we’re objects for their consumption, nothing more.
