NRA obviously isn’t going to help us, but your local Socialist Rifle Club would be more amenable to resisting tyranny. If there is no chapter in your area get some like minded friends together and start one.
SRA is pretty explicit about not being a “militia” of any kind. Good place to meet cool people, but they won’t be resisting under the SRA banner. John Brown Gun Club on the other hand is a little less timid about showing up to protect people.
