The poll, released on May 30 by Atlas Intel, found Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and former transportation secretary in the Biden administration, to be the top pick among Democrats who responded to the survey.

A total of 31.5% of self-identified Democrats who responded to the poll said they would vote for Buttigieg for president in four years, according to the poll.

Other surveys in May from firms such as Echelon Insights and McLaughlin & Associates have found Harris in first place in the hypothetical primary, making Atlas Intel’s poll stand out among the rest.

Harris is the third most popular pick among Democrats in the poll, falling behind U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

I guess that all depends on who else runs. If it’s just a bunch of standard establishment Democratic neolibs, then sure, let’s go with the one who knows how to talk. Of course, if that’s what the entire field looks like, then we’ll be back to getting wiped off the map again in 2032.

More than that. His dad is one of the translators of Antoni Gramsci to English language. He is well educated in how capitalist states use cultural hegemony to maintain power and chose to serve the ruling class interests.

Working for McKinsey & Company would be a big sign of it. His time as Mayor included a bunch of business friendly and privatization of city properties and demolition of housing.

Essentially he represents the wing of the party that shows deference to corporate tech companies: which is essentially the status quo of the ruling class. He is of a similar conduit to the oligarchy that JD Vance is for the GOP.

You mean outside of his whole neoliberal political career?! I mean he’s done some good stuff but it’s mostly been handouts for the wealthy with little more than a handshake for working Americans by comparison.
