The interface on old Lemmy is perfect. If a post hot into the front page allowing for seamless connection from your reddit account to Lemmy this site would instantly get millions of new users and probably overtake reddit cause the fedverse is superior.

I think the whole point of Lemmy is to not do that.
Sync in what way?
Allowed you to use your reddit and email to verify account instead of the approval system.

Because that’s the user base. The biggest issue with reddit is that censorship of the moderation and admin and other stuff. You need a large user base to make the site reach potential. Once people can migrate their community from Reddit to Lemmy things will really start getting good
I like how things are now. A massive influx of new users doesn’t improve things for me, especially if they don’t follow the Fediverse spirit.
