It would be fun to see a G rated fantasy film that happens to exactly follow the rules to be a Cabin in the Woods prequel. (Same enforcement of common tropes from much happier genres, but implying that the underlying reason is the same…)

Why does it want to destroy the earth?
Why does human(seemingly insignificant) murder mean anything to it‽
