I dont really speak to my mother anymore. tonight, for the first time in several decades, I got a little baked, chilled by the fire and then decided not to worry about Mothers Day at all…
I love my mum, a lot, but whenever we soend time together, something builds up between us until she explodes in a tirade of telling me all the things about me that she dislikes. Could take months, could take years. After hearing it all enough times, I finally decided it’s easier to just to remove the problem of spending time together to free her up to spend it with people whose company she actually enjoys. Much better for my mental/emotional health.

all festive days are just another opportunity for people to show how they truly are so I just celebrate with my true loved ones or on my own
