    It’s so obvious. Some people may have become doomers because they feel despair genuinely, but sometimes, I think many of them just want to be doomers because it’s popular in their circles.

      Agreed. It’s easier to be a “doomer”. It lets you feel good about yourself without having to do anything. Revolutionary optimism takes effort, but it is also the only way to get anything done.

        Hell yeah, optimism in general takes some effort nowadays… but it’s worth it, tbh
